Contribute to radical new/ancient music!
I've been unhoused & unemployed for 3 years due to my disability. However, all my life I have been devoted to discovering new/ancient ways of making music! My friend & I are doing just that, & also creating new gear. Let's make it happen!

My friend & I are collaborating in music, and we are discovering new/ancient ways of making music! And also we're creating new gear in the process, including a custom fretless guitar that will be played in a very unique style synthesizing drone rock with ancient Byzantine chant. This is the main thing right now that your help will be contributing towards. Here's a quick rundown: * Fretless Aluminum custom guitar neck by Aluminati Guitars ($1100) * Experimental Sustainer kit to be installed into the guitar (c. $400) * We already have the guitar body! Grand total: c. $1500 This would help us alot and get the ball rolling. Any contribution at all would be participating in radical paradigm shifts in music. Let's make it happen together! FAQ: * What's new? We are bringing our unique approaches to music we have acquired throughout our lives (Byzantine chant, Orthodox Christian Mysticism, Stockhausen-esque compositional techniques, experimental rock, jazz/gospel/R&B/funk/gogo, etc.) and bringing it all together in a way that escapes the labels of society and frees up the flows of humanity's desire for revolution, healing and love! * What's ancient? Well, what was just mentioned is what humanity has done with music for thousands of years all over the world in various ways across many different cultures! * Why a fretless guitar? In the rich ancient traditions of Byzantine music, and the music of many cultures around the world including that of Iran, Persia, and much more, music is not stuck with only 12 different notes. There is rather a whole spectrum of melodic expression throughout the whole range of an instrument and many different subtle moods and microtones, etc. So to have way more than 12 different notes to work with opens up a whole omniverse of expression and emotional depth in music! This is a must especially for today's times, where algorithms on spotify and youtube are getting more and more narrow in taste and forming a matrix of limited becomings. So let's find the cracks in the matrix and rip them open, shall we?! * What is our style of playing fretless guitar? We're still developing it, but thus far it involves tuning the guitar to BBBEEE (the bottom pitch string is an octave lower, and the top pitch string is an octave higher, so it creates a nice big sound), and usually barring the top three strings to play melodically up and down the neck while the bottom three strings function as a nice big drone. We also have a long history with various other styles and improvisatory techniques, but as of late we have borh been immersing ourselves in the traditions of Eastern Orthodox Christianity and Byzantine Chant, which (un)surprisingly have alot of overlap with basically everything we both have been doing our whole lives. This approach has been on our hearts for a couple years, and recently I personally have been amazed how things have been starting to come together for us. What's the closest thing to what all this would sound????? Well, I recently discovered a Greek Orthodox priest that is (quite)surprisingly close to what has been on my heart for the past couple years. Check out the music of Fr Dionysios Tampakis by searching for his album "Paradise Metal"! Imagine what you hear there but also fused with the likes of Stockhausen, Chuck Brown, Miles Davis, King Crimson and Sun O)) and much more! Thank you again for your time and your support!
